Codeplay wins award at Elektra08

At a glittering ceremony in Munich on 10th November 2008, Codeplay came first in the research and development category of the Elektra08 awards for its Sieve C++ multicore programming platform.

Andrew Richards, CEO of Codeplay, said "we are delighted by this recognition from electronics industry leaders. After three years of development, this award for Sieve and its recent adoption by a major industry player, make all the effort worthwhile".

Codeplay Returns to Japan for Multi-Core Expo

Codeplay will be returning to Tokyo for the 2008 Japan Multi-Core Expo on the 6-7th November held at Meguro Gajoen.

The Founder and CEO of Codeplay. Andrew Richards, will be presenting at the event and Codeplay will be exhibiting for the duration.

Codeplay visits Osaka with UKTI Trade Mission

5th September 2008

Representatives from Codeplay will be visiting Osaka and Tokyo as part of a UKTI Innovative Technology Mission to Japan. Codeplay is one of 12 companies selected from hundreds of applicant's to take part in this prestigious Trade Mission.

The mission takes place from 8th to 12th September.

Codeplay Shortlisted for Research and Design Award

Electronics weekly have announced that Codeplay has been shortlisted in the Elektra 08 Awards. Codeplay entered in the Research and Design Category with it's work on the Sieve C++ Parallel Programming System.

The Elektra Awards takes place Monday 10th November 2008 at the start of Electronica 2008 exhibition in Munich, Germany.

 

Codeplay at NetGames 2008 in Worcester, Massachusetts

At the Seventh Annual Workshop on Network and Systems Support for Games NetGames 2008 in Worcester, Massachusetts in October, Codeplay Software and ITI Techmedia will reveal new technology for online games development.  A research paper, "Facilitating Online Development With a Novel Network Scripting Language", has been accepted for presentation at the event, and for publication by ACM press.  The research described in the paper was carried out by Codeplay Software and on behalf of ITI Techmedia as part of its Online Games Development R&D Programme.

 

Codeplay at HPPC 2008 in Gran Canaria

1st August 2008

A new research paper, "Compile-time and Run-time Issues in an Auto-parallelisation system for the Cell BE Processor", has been accepted for presentation in August at the 2nd International Workshop on Highly Parallel Processing on a Chip HPPC 2008 in Gran Canaria.  The paper details some of the compiler technology behind Codeplay's Sieve Parallel Programming System, and is due to be published by Springer as part of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.

 

Codeplay Recruiting for PhD Studentship

A PhD position is available to work on "Language and Compiler Support for Efficient Programming of Heterogeneous Multi-core Systems" at Imperial College London, in collaboration with Codeplay Software, Edinburgh.  The 3-year studentship is funded by the EPSRC and Codeplay as part of the EPSRC Industrial CASE programme.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master's degree in Computing Science (or a similar degree at an equivalent academic level), strong programming skills, and an interest in compilers and parallel programming.

Codeplay at GDC 2008

10th February 2008

Codeplay will be attending the 2008 Games Developers Conference in San Francisco where founder and CEO Andrew Richards will will be available to demonstrate the latest functionality of the Sieve System. He will also be demonstrating an exciting new network scripting language technology developed by Codeplay.
