• Be able to program in C/C++/assembly
• Want to do new, highly technical challenges.
• Be willing to perform a wide range of tasks initially, and able to specialize as you progress.

A good Computer Science degree will help but is secondary to a keen 'under-the-hood' understanding of computers and software.
