ADMINISTRATOR
Reporting to: Managing Director
Hours: 2-4 days per week dependent upon experience
and availability
Salary: £18,000 p/a (pro rata)
Overall purpose of position
The main purposes of the position are to maintain
the company's financial systems and to provide administrative support
to the Company Directors.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
" Bookkeeping using SAGE Instant Accounting
" Invoicing customers
" Tracking and paying suppliers
" Reconciling bank accounts
" Maintaining and reconciling petty cash and expenses
" Maintaining cash-flow spreadsheets
" VAT returns
" Liaising with Accountant on preparation of quarterly management
accounts and end of year accounts
" Keeping all financial records up to date and correctly filed
" Producing financial reports for Directors
" Maintaining employee files and liaising with Directors on all staff
issues
" Monitoring company policies on Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities
etc, and ensuring the company is compliant with current employment
legislation
" Assisting Directors with recruitment
" Assisting Managing Director with grant applications
" Answering phone and email queries
" Maintaining office supplies and consumables etc
" General admin and filing
" Any other administrative or financial tasks as reasonably required by
the Managing Director
Person Specification
Essential:
" Working knowledge of SAGE Instant Accounting
" Familiarity with standard accounting procedures for the financial
duties outlined in the job description
" Ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with
others
" Motivation and enthusiasm with excellent organisational skills
" Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Desirable:
" Experience of financial administration in small businesses
" Awareness of current UK employment legislation
" Experience of fundraising/ grant applications

The post is offered on a permanent basis subject
to the successful completion of an initial three month probationary
period.
